Stefani also won the Midwest Classic in Kansas City earlier in the year.

He won $108,000 for the most recent victory, which moved him up 12 spots to fourth on the Web.com Tour money list. He has earned $303,311 with two events to play this season and is assured of finishing in the tour’s “The 25” top money earners, all who automatically earn PGA Tour cards for the 2013 season.

“Getting my PGA Tour card means the world to me,” Stefani told PGATour.com. “I’ve worked very hard to make it to the Tour, and it will be a dream come true for me. It’s the best Tour in the world.”

Stefani graduated from Lamar in 2005 and spent the next few years on the mini-tours. He broke through in 2011 with an impressive win at the Texas State Open in Tyler. He torched The Cascades for four days—including a 10-under 60 in the third round—to post 21-under 259. He won by five shots over Spring’s Randy Lowry.

The Miccosukee Championship victory made Stefani, 30, the fourth multiple-time winner on the Web.com Tour this year. A course record-tying 62 in the third round helped Stefani post 15-under 269 for the 72-hole event. He took a six-shot lead into the final round and birdied two of his last five holes to secure the win over Presnell, who shot a final round 67 to finish at 10-under 274.

“To be honest, I was not worried about the lead or protecting the lead when I started,” Stefani said. “You expect someone to come out and play well and Alistair did just that. He played a really good round of golf today. Give him some credit for putting some pressure on me. I just wanted to focus on playing well and experience what it was like playing with a lead in the final round.”
